Rozen Maiden ~ Zurückspulen Episode 1

Hey guys, I present you an image of Suigintou to start off.

It’s been so long since I last posted something so forgive the poor editing.

To start with, it’s been so long since the last release of Rozen Maiden. With this new release, I do have mixed feelings but if I had to say something, I’m still happy they continued especially since this is something I really do like.
Hell, I even have hard copies of the manga! (Go Peach-Pit! :D)

Well, enough of that. Onto the main topic. Here are my impressions for this first episode:
1) This is basically a recap episode and a really crammed one to that. There are some inconsistencies as well and we don’t see the character development at all in this recap. I would recommend watching the actual series (season 1, 2, and the OVA) before watching this one.
2) Since this is a recap episode, I expect much more from episode 2 or possibly 3 onward. We’ll just have to wait and see.
3) Reading the actual manga, I really have to say that the inconsistencies are a lot as well. They haven’t even introduced ALL of the characters yet it still feels so crammed. Also, the interactions are pretty much gone so yeah… Read the manga or watch the previous seasons to get what the hell is going on first.
4) Deen….. Seeing that this was made by Studio Deen I have been expecting something like this so at least my shock was lessened a bit.. :<
