The most recent Wonder Festival (or WonFes in short) just concluded a few moments ago, and there had been a ton of new anime figures and toys for fanatics, collectors and alike. In a nutshell, WonFes is a biannual event in Tokyo Japan that showcases not only their best, but also their latest and upcoming anime-themed toys and figures in the coming months. In this post are some of the photos gathered from certain parts of the web. My Figure Collection has the most accurate list of the items displayed during the event in case you want to check anything.
Without further ado, feast your eyes on these!
Some say the lineup for this year’s Summer WonFes has been quite disappointing, and will wait for the next batch this winter. In addition, it’s quite clear to see that Good Smile Company, with the number of upcoming releases especially for Nendoroid (which even included video game characters like Luigi from Super Mario and Link from Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker) has the most talked about lineup. Max Factory and FREEing also will release characters from more popular series, particularly Shingeki no Kyojin and Sword Art Online. Despite criticisms by some, other fans and collectors might still find it difficult to choose which ones to purchase in the upcoming months. Which ones are you most interested in getting? A typical anime blogger, with perfectly healthy hobbies related to anime, manga, and games. Loves browsing imageboards for fanart and the like. A frustrated figure collector. Will work for anyone who can donate an Araragi Koyomi figma, and every new Nendoroid that will come out in the future.
