Hey guys, it’s been a while.
Let me cut to the chase then, I recently finished playing Persona 4 Dancing All Night. How and why? Well, I bought the JP version (pretty much on impulse after seeing that it was the last copy) so I was able to play it earlier than expected.
Now then, the music selection was pretty good with a few mixes from the Persona 4 franchise (Persona 4, Persona 4 the Golden, Persona 4 the Animation, Persona 4 the Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena, Persona Q Shadow of the Labyrinth, and of course, Persona 4 Dancing All Night). Most of the songs are available in different remixes so more fun to go around.
Game-play wise, it took me around 2 ~ 3 full songs before I got the hang of it. The screen is pretty much divided in half and it takes some getting used to before you can actively use the game changers/modifiers to make things harder and much more interesting. There are 2 ways to play, the 1st being the usual usage of buttons + analog sticks/L/R. There are 2 types of notes you need to look out for. The usual star notes are the ones where you press up, left, right, triangle, circle, or x for. The blue or the fever circles are for your analog sticks/L/R shoulder buttons. Another way to play this would be via touch screen. For you to hit the blue/fever circles you need to swipe the screen much like a DJ scratch. Another thing to note would be the fever meter and the gauge above (norinori meter). The fever meter does something neat when you enter the fever area and your norinori meter is at green or sparkling. The norinori meter determines as well when you pass or fail a song.
Have some DLC-Mari (500 yen) as your reference.
Ok, I’m bad at this…. >.>
MOVING ON.
The story is pretty straightforward and introduces some new characters to us as well. There will be choices during the story mode but these choices doesn’t have any impact on endings or story progression. They generally are there to make certain characters respond differently.
From here onwards, there will be spoilers so prepare yourself!
Anyways, lets get to rating this shall we?
Music – 4.5/5
Gameplay – 4.5/5
Story – 4/5
Overall – 4.33/5
Hope you guys pick this up and enjoy as well!
