February 25, 2025 – SEGA is pleased to reveal new information about the features of Two Point Museum, the latest game by Two Point Studios, which will be released on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
Two Point Museum introduces new elements unique to museum management, including Guided Tours and Exhibit Analysis. Take charge as curator and utilise these features to secure more donations, grow your collection of decorations, and accentuate the overall appeal of your museum!
Guided Tours
A great way to earn additional cash while also maximising the amount of Buzz and Knowledge guests gain.
You’ll need to build a Tour Stand and staff it with an Expert to conduct tours. You can plan out what kind of experience guests will have by deciding which exhibits a tour visits, and in what order.
A tour will begin once enough guests are waiting at its Tour Stand. Experts will take guests to each exhibit, helping them gain both Buzz and Knowledge in the process.
When a tour ends, each guest will donate based on the Tour Rating. The higher the rating, the bigger the donation! You can see how participants felt about a tour by looking at the Tour Stand’s Feedback tab.
Tour Ratings Are Based on The Five Criteria Below
– Total Buzz
The combined Buzz of all exhibits included in the Tour. The more Buzz, the better.
– Average Quality
The average quality of all exhibits on the Tour. Including a low-quality exhibit may do more harm than good to the Tour Rating.
– Decoration Rating
A measure of the Decoration Rating of all exhibits on the Tour.
– Cohesion
The impact of the themes and subcategories included on the Tour. A Tour that contains exhibits from different themes suffers majorly on Cohesion, so try to stick to one theme.
– Length
The total duration of your Tour. A Tour being too long will negatively impact the Tour Rating. Remember that guests will have to walk the route you plan for them, so keep them engaged by focusing on a limited selection of exhibits.
Exhibit Analysis
Deconstructing and analysing an exhibit can grant you Knowledge, Enlightenment, and Perks.
Guests can only learn as much as the museum can teach them. Deconstruct exhibits in the Analysis Room to turn them into raw data, permanently increasing the Knowledge your guests receive from those exhibits.
Conducting analyses also progresses you towards Enlightenment. As you increase the Enlightenment of a theme, such as Prehistory or Botany, you’ll gain access to new decorations and Interactive Displays.
Furthermore, performing analyses rewards you with Perks. These consumables can be installed on exhibits and certain items to give them a permanent, curated boost. A host of perks awaits you, including Spare Life, which lets your living exhibits escape death when their Health reaches 0%, and Duration Boost, which increases the visit length of your guests.
