McDonald’s Tempest Cup: Honor of Kings’ Biggest Nationwide Tournament Culminates in Epic Finals with Top 4 Teams

October 4, 2024, MANILA – The journey to esports supremacy is coming to an electrifying conclusion as the McDonald’s Tempest Cup, the largest Honor of Kings tournament to date, prepares for its grand finals. After weeks of intense competition involving over a hundred teams across the Philippines, the final four contenders are ready to compete for the championship at McDonald’s Frontera Verde in Pasig City.

The remaining teams – Alpha, Execration, Blacklist International, and Xalt Esports – have emerged as the best in the country. Before the reveal of the top teams, a significant upset came when the tournament favorite and number-one-ranked BOOM Esports was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Xalt Esports in an unexpected turn of events.

The finals will feature a Best-of-Three Semi-Finals followed by a Best-of-Five Grand Finals showdown. Spectators can expect heart-pounding action as these elite teams face off for glory.
