R×R is a fictional unit featured in SYNDUALITY, a large-scale sci-fi project by Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bandai Namco Filmworks, and Bandai Spirits. The unit consists of ReoNa, who performs the theme song for the game SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada, and R・O・N from STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, who performs the theme song for the TV anime SYNDUALITY Noir. On January 24, 2025, R×R digitally released their song “DEPARTURES” on music streaming platforms.

“DEPARTURES,” a house music track blending melancholy and brightness, serves as a bridge connecting the anime and the game. It was featured as an insert song in the anime’s final episode and is also used in SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada.

ReoNa’s ethereal, emotionally resonant vocals and R・O・N’s gentle, supportive singing intertwine to create a melody that transcends the bounds of typical anime songs and captivates listeners. The English lyrics in the chorus provide a unique flair, creating a soothing listening experience. This once-in-a-lifetime collaboration between the two artists is a must-listen.

ReoNa

A singer known for her anime songs that convey themes of despair. A finalist in the 2017 SACRA MUSIC Audition, ReoNa made her pre-debut in April 2018 as the singing voice of Elsa Kanzaki in the anime Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online. In March 2023, she held her first solo concert at Nippon Budokan, titled “ReoNa ONE-MAN Concert 2023 “Pilgrim” at Nippon Budokan ～3.6 Day Nigete Aoune～,” which was a complete sellout. Starting in May 2024, she embarked on her 5th Anniversary Tour, “ReoNa 5th Anniversary Concert Tour ‘Hello, Unhappy,’” performing 11 shows across 9 cities in Japan and completing her first Japan-Asia tour with stops in Taipei, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. In October 2024, she performed “GG,” the opening theme for Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online II. Her theme song for SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada, titled “Debris,” was released digitally on January 16, 2025.

R・O・N / STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION

A versatile musician and artist, R・O・N is known for his ability to create catchy, artistic sounds and unique programming arrangements that span a wide range of genres, utilizing instruments such as piano, guitar, and bass.

As R・O・N, he has composed music for voice actors and artists, as well as background scores, theme songs, and character songs for anime series such as Hypnosis Mic, A3!, Love Live! Sunshine!!, Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, and BNA: Brand New Animal.

Performing under the name STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, he debuted in 2013 with “Daisy,” the ending theme for the TV anime Beyond the Boundary. Since then, he has contributed numerous theme songs to popular anime, including Dimension W, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Fourth Plate, Moriarty the Patriot, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

R・O・N is also active internationally, performing at events in countries such as the United States, Germany, Canada, Chile, Thailand, and Poland. In 2022, he held his first solo concert abroad in New York, followed by a performance in Singapore in 2023. For the TV anime SYNDUALITY Noir, he composed both the opening theme, “RAYTRACER,” and the ending theme for the second season, “Drifters.”
